I use Kiwi heel and sole dressing on the side of mine. Dries without leaving sticky residue. Have to move the bike once to coat wholo belt because of guards. Also, the belt looks better with black edges than grey edges. If your belt doesn't need help, more power to you. Keep it a bit looser than the factory tool recommends. Replacement belts here are almost $400. I'll deal with the belt hopping a tooth occasionally if it saves me from early (pre-60,000 mile) replacement.
